Combined driving events

Combined driving is an equestrian sport involving carriage driving.

In this discipline, the driver sits on

a vehicle drawn by a single horse, a pair or a team.

The sport has three phases: dressage, cross-country marathon and obstacle cone driving.

Endurance ride events

Endurance rides can be over any distance, though they are rarely over 100 miles for a one-day competition.

In an endurance ride, the winning horse is the first one to cross the finish line while stopping periodically to pass a veterinary check that deems the animal in good health and fit to continue.

Herding dog events

Herding trials are competitive and dogs are scored on their herding abilities according to test level, course type and livestock type.

Ducks, cattle, and sheep are the most common livestock used during this type of events.
